@Sturgis,
JUST CAUGHT UP WITH YOUR QUIRKS n Quarks (sorry for yelling)website. I can often get it on asmi month;ly basis on Sirius but otherwise , we're mostly Quark -free down here. Can you get CBC in NY or are you following on the web. If youre following on the web, I know I can transfer it to my Sirius as an App.

@farmerman,
can't you livestream CBCRadio ? pick a station that has programs with a schedule you like and set it as the page you stream. I sometimes bump As It Happens to a more convenient time.

or download the podcasts and listen when you want. I finally managed to make that happen on the rinky dink little tablet

I see you're rabbiting on about those bloody awful bagels again! Such a waste of calories.

I love the Serbian "short bastard"!

Marinated pork steak, grilled. A ton of roast vegetables, potato, kumara, carrot, pumpkin, onion. Bok choy, baby spinach, spring onion steamed.

Apple juice.

Easter Sunday lunch in isolation.

One thing about this self isolation thing - I'm eating a lot more vegetables.

@chai2,
Just had a supper that broke rules
1 Finished eating at 9PM
2 Had butter fried pork loin medallions in a sweet salty smoky ramp sauce
3 Potatoes au gratin (white starchy yummy potatoes) in acheesy weezy asiago cream sauce with ramps too.
4 Glass of hard cider (local brand)

Since weve made it through th 1st month of "Bugout" living we celebrated a bit. bout 11PM Mrs F will serve her world renowned Key Lime pie with whoop cream. I am symmetrically gruntled.

@ehBeth,
I love butter tarts. They were a "backwoods staple" a numbr of tims when a bunch of us did the Algonquin by canoe. Qed run into homes off the path and invariably theyd sell "sahveneers" and suor butter tarts. We would load up on the butter tarts and at em with Dram Bouie .

@farmerman,
No good place to find ramps in downtown Toronto. Can't access my source during lockdown. I will miss having them this year. I used to cook up a mess of them on a Friday night, so the scent would have time to wear off before I had to go into the office on Monday morning.

Ramps??

Those things that slope up and down, for wheeling luggage and other things?

You can eat them? How???

@margo,
Somehow, I knew that was coming...

An odd but pleasant taste. Especially for onion fans and mild garlic lovers.
