@ehBeth,
Having a red wine now, thought you might like to try this someday.

I braved heating the kitchen a bit (hot here) while making caramelized onions, via the Russ Parsons recipe, invariably good. Much of the "recipe", simplicity itself, involves timing (as in, don't burn them). I don't take them to his endpoint, as I am happy enough a bit earlier, but fairly close to his. I don't need his end stage..

The recipe is on a2k; if anyone is interested, I'll find and post it.

Anyway, my last tasted thing was a dollop of caramelized onion. Oh, gawd.

@ossobucotemp,
A taste of the black cherry jam I made yesterday. First attempt at cherry. Good but not great. I'll make adjustments for next time.

@izzythepush,
I loooooove poire, haven't had it in a long time now.

Last taste - a simple tuna/turmeric mayo/sourdough sammich

Today's kitchen challenge is to make my own mustard. I've done it before, easy peasy, but this time I'll make a bigger batch.

@ossobucotemp,
How is mustard made? Is it better than store bought?
