@ehBeth,
A couple of cookies and a glass of milk, ehBeth. Oops sorry I forgot that you don't do PM's.

Just wondering if you dad enjoyed his birthday. Hope so. I sent him a couple of messages, but have heard nothing from him as yet.

@Letty,
Good to see you on this thread, Letty. I don't do the WA2K thread much since I can't see or hear the videos (old computer, blah, blah) but I still like y'all.

Last thing I ate was some of the very slow cooked chuck roast (a red curry recipe) that I started yesterday and kept slow cooking today. Very good. I hardly ever spring for a good hunk of real meat, and I bought this one to grind for hamburger but got sidetracked into braising it. The good news? This will help me put together some dozens of burritos to freeze (well, the beef along with tortillas and various fillings). Economical - and it tastes great.

I've had that bottle of mild curry paste in the refrigerator for a long time now. Dumb of me not to use it more often.

About to put some cream cheese spread I'm thawing (parboiled chopped kale/garlic/black pepper/o.oil) on some toasted sourdough semolina bread - hungry now. Meantime, have a black lager small beer at hand.

Is it at least the good kind of Bologna? (Deli not Oscar Meyer or worse)

@tsarstepan,
baked eggs (made with cheese and onions and myriad spices and other stuff)
and a bit of some pork venison sausage sliced thin.

I love baked eggs, need to do them more often.

Basic recipe - butter pie plate, heat oven to 350.

toss together seven eggs and then seven half egg shells of water
add stuff lying around in the fridge -
In this case, I added thawed prev cooked artichoke pasta, some spicy eggplant (I do that as a routine), cheddar cheese, some frozen peas, some sweet red pepper from a jar. Smidge of sausage, chopped.
Not sure, I might have added some olive oil.

Cook about 45 minutes at 35o.

I stole this from some asian recipe, long forgotten, but that gave me the general idea. You can add any damned thing to the eggs..

@chai2,
ok, this was a taste test....pretty darn good.

My tomatoes have come in, and I've picked 24 ripe ones in the last 2 days.

Made a big pot of sauce just from what I had in the house. Just made it up as I went along.

Tomato
Onion
Olive Oil
Good Salt
Honey
Freshly Ground Pepper
Half-way pureed Arugula
Ground up Walnuts

It's quite nice.

My nibbled off fingernail.

Foodwise, I had some mashed taters with provolone and mozzarella cheese and garlic along with my iced coffee (made it yesterday night)
