@XXSpadeMasterXX,
hot and sour soup

I had to run over early to get some. I was there at 11:45. They'd refilled the big canisters already and they were halfway empty again. It's their most popular offering. Crazy delicious.

@ehBeth,
I haven't had that in a long time, and now you're reminding me. Not many interesting restaurants in my area, blaaaaah. Anyway, I'm off to look up some recipes for hot and sour soup, starting with Thai. It'll be all your fault, Beth.

Meantime, I last ate one and a half canned mackerel in tomato sauce (favorite is Geisha brand, so far the best fish of the type in my market)/cooked potato/egg binder fishcakes, previously dabbed in corn meal and sauteed until crusty in a small amount of olive oil, then put in foil packets and frozen - with some dill pickle dotted mayo on the side. Easy breakfast and moderately ok re nutrients.

Lady Grey tea with lots of honey and tea.

Heard a pharmacist on the radio today saying that a tsp of honey a day is better at dealing with the cold/flu than almost all commercial cough/cold/flu medications. o.k. having a big gob of honey in my tea

@ehBeth,
A slice of the pandoro (sweet bread recipe from Verona) - delicious, though I didn't let it rise quite enough. Subtle in the sweetness, very light and buttery, with some raisins and dried plums.
Coffee.

Probably the juiciest chicken breast I have ever eaten...Steamed broccoli....And about 5 russet potatoes....With just some pepper...Had to be one of the tastiest meals I had in a long time...The potatoes were very tasty...

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
Pad thai from a Longo's kit.

If Set doesn't hurry up ...

he shouldn't have left me downstairs with the whole kit ...

I added a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter and a shot of lemon juice to my bowl ...

so delish

or maybe I was hungry?
