I usually trade my vehicles in. If I see a vehicle on a lot that I like. I tell the guy that wants to sell me the car before he wastes any of my time what he is going to give me for my trade in before we do business. Then he will say what do you want for it. I tell him I know what I want but I want to know what you will give me for it. If you want to make a deal you know what it's worth and so do I. If he doesn't give me what I'm looking for then I say no deal and walk. There are plenty of dealers out there who want your business. Some have even come back and given me what I was looking for and a couple have given me more than what I was looking for. Try it it does work. It's the NO BS approach.
