I have a older system about 13 yr. My water is turning cloudy. Its starting to taste bad. What could be the problem? I don't have a bridge I empty and add salt all the time. I cleaned my filter a few years back. If you pour a glass of water it is milky looking if you let it set it will settle.

Are you talking about a water system? A filtration system? A well system? What is this bridge you empty and why would you add salt? Could you please explain what the heck you're talking about? Smile

Bypass the system and see if your water clears up.

It sounds as if you have a water softener. When you say you empty the tank, you shouldn't let it run out of salt.

Cloudy may be air bubbles in the water added by the faucet tip aerator. Does the cloudy disappear if you let the glass sit for a minute or two? If so, remove the aerator and see if the water is still cloudy. If not, then it is the aerator adding air bubbles and not a problem; they are supposed to add air to the water.

Otherwise, describe your equipment. City or your own well water?
