My home warranty covers the leak repairs and will patch up the hole but will not paint the ceiling. Is there a special paint I can buy to match what I currently have? My ceiling has that bumpy or rugged surface. Is there a paint that can match that?
Check in a Home Depot or Lowes. We never used it, but we did find a paint that is used to patch popcorn ceilings. It comes in either a medium or large popcorn.

I suggest you consider a primer spray paint before to seal the surface before you apply the finish coat so the stain does not reappear.
