We currently have Microsoft outlook for our business and personal emails. We have a desktop PC at home directly connected to Comcast. My husband has a laptop he uses at work and logs into our email account through the internet. The problem is if I open up the email at home, my husband no longer has access to view it from his laptop (via the internet). Does anyone know how we could set this up so he can view all emails?

Have you tried to set the status of it as being unread after you open it.

He can't get in, or he gets in and the emails are already gone?

If they're gone, you can, in Microsoft Outlook account settings check a box that says 'Leave a copy of messages on the server' (Tools - email accounts -view or change existing accounts - double click on the account - 'More settings' - 'Advanced')

If it's that he can't get in at all...that I don't know how to solve Confused

good luck though!

He can get into the email account, but any emails that had been opened previously are not viewable through his means (from his laptop via the internet.) I can still view them from home. I called comcast and they said that I would have to speak with Microsoft that this is an issue with Microsoft. If I call Microsoft their message says something about charging me - so before I get charged, I thought somebody here might be familiar with this issue.

I will try your suggestion when I get home and see if that works.

Thanks so much. I'll let you know tomorrow how it works. Should save time and money being on hold with Microsoft.

Thank you, thank you - it appears to be working. Much appreciated.

I am not sure what Microsoft would have charged us for the 10 minute call.
