It still looks to be in Italy to me, but that may be from my inexperience in being other places.

It's a wild guess, but since Dresden is a twin sister city of Firenze, has an "italian touch" as well ...

c.i.,
Did you rule out Bath, in England? The background does look "Roman".

I've found plenty of references to Il Porcellino d'India, which turn out to be the critters that run this site - hamsters!

OK, OK, I'll go look at that picture again! To what avail?

Well, all those flowers might be a clue.

It's driving me crazy by all day! (Actually, I'm even quite sure that I have been there, from the first moment onwards I saw the thumb!) Twisted Evil

http://www.about-berlin-hotels.de/hotelinfo.asp?hotel=957

This hotel is in Berlin by a wild boar sculpture...but the link doesn't show the boar...that I could find. Says it is in a circle in the Grunewald district.

The sculpture is located in Munich. The 'exact' position is on the pedestrian mall between the McDonalds and Marienplatz when walking from the train station. c.i.

That's what I origianally thought (Munich, I mean). And now, as you say where it exactly is .... MY photos from there are at a friend's (who is sitting on the boar) ...

Since it's still more than 95° here and we are waiting for the expected very bad weather tonight, I'll fall in deepest depression after that Laughing

btw

That boar is by a certain Martin Mayer, created in 1976.

It's there, because the building behind it is the
German Hunting and Fishing Museum
