They are quite different forms of Christianity. Here are some readings to get you started:

Seventh day adventists vs mormons--i'll put my money on the Mormons--they're tough old birds. Is this gonna be like a WWF smack-down?

The Mormons would put up Rulon Gardner. I think the SDAs might not have anyone to match.

Match forfeited, win to the Mormons.

The Seventh Day Adventists say the Earth is 6,000 years old. The Mormons are more realistic. They say the Earth is 10,000 years old.

Most of the SDAs that I am personally acquainted with are vegetarians.

Rulon or not, the SDAs are at a disadvantage. Laughing

Seriously though, there are big theological differences , if that's what you are asking, acthc.

Or did you have something else in mind?

Chai, it is misleading because many, if not the majority of SDA's drink coffee. They don't drink alcohol.

I'm not certain what Mormons do/believe in relation to such.

on a four-week cruise a few years ago we had a momon couple as our table mates(he was a "bishop" - both were professinal chemist by profession) . we were five couples at our table .
really a very nice couple - great to talk to - they NEVER mentioned religion , except to tell us privately that they were mormons .
NO ALCOHOL , NO CAFFEINE , NOT EVEN HERBAL TEAS  .

Not even herbal teas?

I wonder why if it's a tea with no stimulant in it?

Many herbal teas actually promote good health.

interesting.

Oh . . . Mormons.

Mormons versus Morons?

That's redundant.

Ol' Phony Moroni cracks me up, when the whole shebang moves to Central America. There are few scriptures as wacky as the Book of Mormon--and that's sayin' a mouthful.

I too read it as Seventh Day Adventists vs. Morons.

Sounded like a pretty even fight to me...and a bit Fight Club-ish if you ask me.
