When starting a new painting:
1 Do you have the finished result clear in your head and work towards that?
2 Do you have a rough idea and work towards it, changing on the way relating to marks and colours that happen and sometimes end up with something totally different?
3 Do you have no idea at all of how it will go? just start making marks and laying down colours and react?
4 Something else?
I am options 2 and 3. I know what i want to express but this often evolves and can change totally in light of what happens with paint, marks and if i am in the landscape, sudden changes of light and colour
ooooh! Ive graduated to enthusiast!

I'm also 2 & 3, though more often along the lines of number 3. Don't paint, but I luvv to draw.
