Has anybody seen Equus in London?
I got half way through booking a ticket then thought to myself do I really want to see it?!
Seems like a good storyline and Im a Daniel Radcliffe fan.
Is there anything you can recomend in London that does a matinee performance?
I saw the play many years ago in NY. It's very powerful theater.
Thanks, thats positive.
Ive seen a load of musicals but never a play.Going on what there is to offer play wise, Equus seems my only option.I shall ponder more and decide this aftrenoon.
Thanks
It's very powerful, great theater--and very upsetting. Not an easy play to watch.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I really want to go now!!!!
lol. Prepare yourself. And don't say I didn't warn you. You will be affected. It really is good theater and a good play.
Why not go see The Mousetrap? It's, I believe, the longest running play in the world. It's based on an Agatha Christie book. Should be intriguing and not upsetting.
Ok, il have a look into that.
Have to admit Im not feeling too good, may be getting a cold so maybe best not to pre-plan anything major at this point.
Be just my luck to book it then feel yucky and waste the ticket.
Im going to London for something else that wont take long.Suppose I could go to the theatre on the day, as its nearby, and see on the off chance if they have tickets.
I agree with Roberta. Equus is very moving, and quite disturbing.
I'd love to see it again.
Does the word Equus mean anything?
Equus refers to Equine--horse.
"Equus" is Latin for horse.
Being the dunce that I am I was going to hand in a sculpture for an exhibition yesterday(wednesday) and at the same time see if there were any Equus seats left and go to see it while I was in London.
I reread the sculpture delivery info only to find It can only be handed in on one specific day rather than before the stated date I had in my head.
Annoyingly the hand in date is on a different day to the afternoon wednesday show, so may have to go see summit else.
