he's taken a step back this year.
dunno if the WBC messed him up... or if he's throwing too much in between starts... or he's in a prolonged papi-like slump.
the immediate issue is that 6 doesn't go into 5, no matter how you slice it.
with smoltz ready to make his sawx debut, the team has to do something.
yeah, he's the reason every other kid in japan is wearing a sawx cap...
