Yeah, that's kinda freaky, huh?
It is April 2 in the effected area, although the warning came from Hawaii where I think it is still April 1.
Looks pretty serious in the Solomon's though. Lost some folks.

The first effects will be felt in Cooktown, within half an hour.
That's typical, Americans and geography
alasdair mixed up the east coast of the US with the east coast of Australia.
Well there you go, tsunami is tsunami.
farmerman, you can deflate your life vest again.
So it amounted to nothing. It was a disaster for some low-lying islands in the region of the quake.
We'll just call it a dry-run situation for what could happen when the fault-line near New Zealand decides to drop its bundle.
On the impending calamity issue, (no pun intended, Jane) the potential for the currently bubbling Yellowstone caldera to destroy over a third of the US of A, as well as blanket half the globe in ash, as well as destroying agriculture for a decade at the very least in many regions, is also a very real concern.
A super-volcano has not been seen in recent times, but they do happen, and when Yellowstone blows, there'll be no running and hiding. If you aren't half a continent away when it begins, you'll be Pompei'd. No doubt about it.
Many of the "survivors" will wish they were dead in the aftermath.

That seems a little heartless Builder. The toll is far from final, could be hundreds. No doubt some people have lost mothers, fathers, children. These people will be devastated.

Remember, this is being said by someone whose dogs butt is being celebrated for its likeness to Our Lord.
Good point FM.
Nobody seems to be taking me seriously anymore!
