Timberbranch--

Glad to have you here.

Just as there is no precise word to describe your relationship with Kevin, there is no clear way to say how much we all miss him.

He'd scoff, but he was a man of grandeur.

The photo brought tears to my eyes. Such good pals they were.

Thanks for coming to visit Timberbranch.

Tony, your "timberbranch" screen name should soon win you a lot of fans at A2K. Timber was and still is a legend. When I heard of Kevin's death, I had the same reaction as if my next-door neighbor died. I hope that you and Amy continue to post here.

Thanks ... He sure had a way with words.

Of my mom's three kids, I think I enjoyed him the most. Being the oldest, I was out of the house when he moved in. My younger brother and sister both had *issues* with him, but it was a difficult time for those teen-agers.

He and my mom drove down here to Austin from Wisconsin a few years back. I was just finishing up a nice wooden fence for my backyard. This was my first fence, so when they arrived I showed Kevin where I wanted the gate to be. My shabby first-stab at fence building left a hole for a gate which wasn't squared up. Kevin told me, "This shape here is a F(*&#ng trapezoid!" Sure enough, he managed to get a working gate in there.

I'm glad to be here, thanks guys.

T

I never knew that cooking was one of his accomplishments. So his fish stories about walleye fries were not BS then.
I am a big fan of Timbers. He was never mean to anyone he just tested their bases of knowledge carefully , he did respect logic , and was passionate about evidence of belief. If you and AMy ever feel like it, Id (and Im sure others) would love to hear any tales of Kevin the man. It helps our grieving too.

I've been off line for a while, technical problems whichI'm sure Timber could fix but not me. My condolences. Hope Walter H has already said something on my behalf.

Ah, shoot. Now I'm crying again.

Thanks for the pic, Amy. I absolutely love that their eyebrows and eyes match. Smile What a pair!

Welcome Timberbranch. A trapezoid gate... Yeah, sounds like something Timber would be able to come up with... and fix. Thank you for sharing that with us.

I cried a little at work, seeing this topic going strong. Thanks for coming, Amy and Tony. Your family is welcome any time.

I thought -- here are the faces of 2 of us who posted here, me and my husband, he posts here with the user name Region Philbis. This is us: http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/2008/rpjespah2ow.th.jpg

And here is a link to where there's a lot of photos and locales:

I hope some other folks show their faces, too, or at least (if they're shy) pics of their pets or favorite places or the like. Let's make J.'s book a big one. Smile

Was this taken back in the 80's when digital cameras were like 0.000001 megapixel?

NO, it was taken a couple of months ago, but this is the version I have at hand (needed it at that size to use as an avatar for my job). (Yes my job requires an avatar.)
