I don't watch much TV.
It isn't because I don't like TV. I love TV. I just never seem to have time for uninterrupted TV viewing.
The other day Mr. B tivoed "The Riches" and I sat down to watch today.
What a good show!
Did you watch it?
What do you tivo?
Excellent! Another thread to derail!
Where's Jane?
The what?
Joe(I have a DVR)Nation
"The Riches" with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver. It was really good.
They're "travelers" (read: gypsys) and they fall into some interesting situations.
I highly recommend it!
I have a circa 1989 VCR. I have to do the primitive maneuver of pushing a button to fast forward through the commercials. I only watch something if I've taped it and I can finish it 40 minutes or less. I can watch American Idol in less time than it takes to make an omelet.
I've had tivo for a while but never saw anything I wanted to record.
I record The Daily Show just in case I miss it but I usually see it anyway.
I probably wouldn't have recorded this but I'm glad Mr. B caught it for us.
I don't really understand people's aversion to TV. I love TV and it seems to just be getting better and better.
I think the vast majority of network TV programing is crap. However, I only have 6 channels. I've seen The Sopranos, Sex In The City, Daily Show and various history channel episodes because my mother tapes them for my husband and I, so I can understand that if you're selective you can find quality programs. I'll have to ask her to start taping The Riches.
Eddie is one of the funniest comedians out there....in drag or not.
Tivo rescued me from a life of reading.
I saw a commercial for it, but forgot about it! I thought it looked good-
What channel is it on? I'll have to tivo.
I love tivo. Skipping through all the commercials cuts an hour long show down to like 40 minutes!
I read the review yesterday and thought it looked fabulous.
I mean, Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver! Wow!
No TiVo though, and haven't seen it yet.
I think it's on FX.
Minnie Driver was amazing. What a performance!
I was not at all familiar with Eddie Izzard and this is most certainly not a comedy role although his character is much larger than life.
I'd love to know what poem he recited from at the end of the show.
One of the newest shows in tv that I've picked up recently is The Black Donnellys.
I like it pretty well. It's different. Sort of like, the Sopranos for prime time network cable.
I have an 8-track, it's doesn't do HD.
