@McTag,
I don't think anyone here is under any illusions as to Fergie's character, but managing a premiership team for all that time is a real achievement. Wenger's the closest, and he's done about half the time of Ferguson.

Being from Southampton where managers get changed on a whim, it's really hard to comprehend.

@McTag,

He's a nasty little control freak with an unpleasant and unnecessary speech impediment. He is not fair-minded. He is not a gentleman. He's a nasty, small-minded, aggressive and intolerant little oik. He's very lucky to have achieved what he has with his club.

We live in a time in which such attitudes are rewarded.

Counter-jumpers are like that Mac. I think Moyes is a mistake.

bump - and I'm only bumping so that I can read the replies to the last post by McTag - hope I'm not breaching any rules of etiquette!

@vonny,
Don't worry about etiquette, nobody else does around here. My remark about bumping was that I couldn't see any sense in it or reason for doing it, but maybe I'm a bit thick.

Even the bloody Guardian has published a Fergie supplement today! Now I've seen everything.
Apparently he's an amalgam of St Francis of Assisi, Alexander the Great and Graf Otto von Bismark.

@McTag,
You're not thick - it's me, as a newcomer I get things wrong sometimes - quite often in fact!

Glad others share my view of Fergie. To me he has always appeared to be a rather unpleasant man with a short temper and bad manners. The media are going overboard to show what a saint of a man he is - sorry, but I disagree.

@McTag,
Do you know Taggers that Bismark was notorious for a particularly noxious habit. So much so that the activity is often referred to in intellectual circles as "Bismarking".

No, I am grateful to m'learned friend for the information, partial though it be.
So what's the rest of the scoop, Spendy, or is it too delicate to be mentioned on these pages?

@spendius,
Actually, it's named after the result, which looks in some people's eyes like the iron chancellor's monocle ...

@McTag,
Hey Taggers--did you see the Shadow Minister for Children on Newsnight?

20 stone I reckon.

I'm not a fattist but I think the potential representative of children ought to look like she eats properly.

Did you know that most child care operatives are Liberal Democrats?

@spendius,
The next time you might think of voting for Milliband you might consider the lady he appointed Minister for Children getting into the bath. Or getting out if you prefer.

Do not read below under any circumstance.

Named after the infamous Prussian, the Bismarck is a sexual act where the man, after ejaculation in his partner's mouth, pulls out and proceeds to slap his partner's face with his wet and sticky penis. Bonus points are awarded on the loudness of the smack.
After that bitch gave me head, I totally gave her the Bismarck.

@spendius,

I totally did not know that.

And I didn't see the fat lady.

I, however, can announce that I've lost about a stone (BrE) or fourteen pounds or 6.35 kg (Eurozone) on my new diet, in six weeks, which is a result I reckon.

@McTag,

City are playing like a shower of haddies. You'd think this was a Wednesday training match.

I'm going out.

@margo,

Onwards and downwards, weight-wise.

No Wigan supporters on this thread? I didn't watch the second half, but it looks a though City got just about what they deserved. No spark, no fight, no sense of occasion, no inspiration.

What did those two teams cost to assemble?

Bye-bye Signor Mancini.

@McTag,
It was a brilliant goal at exactly the right moment, a minute into stoppage time, if it had gone into 30 mins extra time I reckon City would have won.

They came close to scoring after Wigan put a goal past them.
