We've got a Romanian guy fixing something and he can't speak English. He's presumably speaking Romanian but it sounds very much like Italian. I appreciate Romania is nowhere near Italy but do you reckon the "Rom" bit has anything to do with Rome?

It was my last day of college yesterday and it was actually quite sad. The younger girls on my course irritated me at first but I had grown to like them a lot (once I got past thinking they just had a bad attitude). Things were never dull and I will miss it.

End of an era an' all that.

How's things with the British peoples then?

I saw some of Glastonbury on the TV today and enjoyed some of the Arctic Monkeys set.
Which surprised me, I never thought I would like them. They were good.

A lot, I think. Maybe Walter or Spendy will elucidate.

Glastonbury is my idea of a nightmare although I'm sure as festivals go, it must be pretty good?

If you're into that kind of thing.

Not into all that kind of music either.

In fact, I've never slept in a tent, ever. Never been to football match either. Must have something to do with toilet facilities.

I saw the Alex Harvey Big Soul Band at Dam Park in Ayr in 1963 and I think that is the last time I was at a festival. They were a blast btw, very good.

And, we were camping on Arran at the time.

I have slept in a tent.

And it was one provided free of charge by HMG and I can assure you all that it was a flewking awful experience and only to be repeated in the most desperate need.

I have been to a few football matches though but I soon discovered that watching them on telly was much more efficient in every respect.

Why was he billed as "The Manchester Mexican", I wonder?

Well that's funny. He thinks he's from Hattersley.

My pal George, from Hyde, has played darts with Ricky in his local....and threatened to knock him out.
But he was only kidding.

Many times too many mate.

On a carpet of desert sand too and if you forgot to turn the light off before you did your bit to see that the refineries were kept going with their lifeblood you had about two hundred thousand moths of an amazing variety to deal with as well as your mates blaming you for it in terms which Brit threaders are evidently not familiar with.

I also slept in a tent for five nights in the Dales once with one of those Pagan Earth Mother types who was trying to get to grips with her inner core of femininity.

That wasn't so bad I'll admit as long as exhaustion is allowed to take its natural course. I didn't rate getting washed in a river though.

spendius, Mathos has been looking for you. I'm not sure of his desperation of your whereabouts but he was applying lipstick as he asked.
