@McTag,

How ethical is it anyway, to buy fruits & veg out of season?

Kenyan beans, Israeli fruits, South African flowers.

Smorgs is right. Buy turnips and swede. Except the supermarkets drive them about 500 miles between farm, distribution and shops. That's how the swede gets soft. Better if you steal them straight out of the farmer's field, as we used to do when we were kids.

@McTag,

I've got an avocado. Should I have it with mayonnaise, or vinaigrette?

@McTag,
Liquidise it and rub it all over Mrs Mac's delicious epidermis and then lick it off.

Well-- Jean Paul Sartre liked that sort of thing, although not with an avocado, and he was a clean cut atheist I believe.

@spendius,

Epidermis or mayonnaise, it's a tough call.

Anyway the private lives of honourable members, and the nature of the fruits and/or vegetables they may (or may not) employ in the pursuit of their activities, should remain the purest conjecture in the minds of all.

We had the avocados, I got some prawns and a lemon and we made a kind of Marie Rose (is that right?) sauce and blobbed the mix on top of the peeled fruit.
Very nice, and we ate them with conventional cutlery too, none of that Sartre nonsense.
Maybe another time.

@McTag,
Not with prawns and lemons though I trust. Liqueurs are best. The orange flavour. Or Black Magic coffee cream.

Have you noticed when driving in the city, and you're trying to have a good look around to make it worthwhile, there might be a pretty girl across the road or something, and a galumphing great 4x4 comes up alongside and you can't see anything? Or you're following a box van and your view ahead is next to nil?

I hate that.

I would propose making all cars the same size, the size of my car, and limiting commercials to between the hours of 06:00 and 08:00, and 21:00 to 01:00.
That ought to be enough.

@djjd62,
I AM NOT A HORRIBLE PERSON!

I just didn't have time to canvas who lived in Toronto before my trip. Otherwise I would have gladly met up with Ehbeth for a brew and chinwag - sorry Ehbeth...

@Walter Hinteler,

Smorgs is an attraction? Is that not a tad sexist?
