@margo,
If you are driving along the coast on one side and you turn inland keep your foot on the brake or you'll drive into the water on the other side.

But she's a bigot, Spendi, so it is OK. Politicians dont lie !! Anyway, if thats the worst your politicians say, we should send you some...one of our PM's called a shopper a silly old bastard to his face and didnt care that it was in public, never mind the privacy of the back seat of a limo.

@spendius,

Dashed bad show, Sky News recording a private conversation and broadcasting it.
The News of the World is being investigated by the police, for eavesdropping on mobile phone messages. And the difference is? Not much. Not only bad manners, but arguably criminal.

Vote for Gordon. You know it makes sense.

Vote for non-socialist New Labour.

Gordon's your man. He's made his mistakes already.

@McTag,
I don't think he's made any mistakes Mac. It's Media that has done that and its poodle public.

@McTag,
It's amazing how wise hindsight can make a man.

I remember Mike Harding, the Rochdale cowboy, writing an article to the effect that his collision with a roofing contractor's truck on a bend in the Dales was due to his train being ten minutes late because had it not been he wouldn't have been on that bend at the same time the truck was there. He wrote to the station master to complain.

Have you any of Mr Harding's records in your collection?

As far as that is concerned, I can sadly claim foresight on both of these items.
As, I'm sure, can most of the habitues of your drinking den.

@McTag,
What foresight?

Expressing an opinion chosen for its own purposes is not foresight. If the policy expressed in the opinion has not been followed it has nothing to answer for and it's understandable that it would have come up smelling of roses in the hypothetical situation that it had been.

Ok, I give up. Politics it is. But as soon as this is over we go back to talking about sheep. Who's betting on a hung parliament ?

How long does it take you to untwist your knickers when you're getting dressed of a morning?

@Ionus,

I've been to vote already. And I voted twice today. No, four times, because there's a double election going on.
