Muckty!

You just ruined my serious moment!

I was being all Newsnight/Unreported World, and you just went and put tartan all over it.

Hey that reminds me....

Aren't we being awefully naive in our stereotying of the Bedouine people?

Some may drive cars?

Some may have never even seen a camel?

Some may live in Didsbury!

Some Bedouine may get the hump over that post, Muckty.

Hi georgeob1 - oh, never going to be able to write that each time - OB1 - is that k with you?

Well it all refers to O'Brien, so OB1 will do. Indeed I was known as that in a squadron that turned up inexplicably with three pilots named O'Brien.

[quote-"McTag"](thinks....I wonder how George knows Steve....?)
(....I know, I'll ask him the question, translated into American)

How come you can recognise Steve, George[/quote] Well, the "how come.." bit is really a Midwestern thing - short for 'How do you come to know or do ...".

I saw a photo from this same gathering a few years ago in which Steve was noted, and, perhaps because we were then arguing about something, noted his face - and the fact that his coloring fit so well with his occasionally short temper. I'll say nothing about my own failings in that area though.

Walter, who evidently took the photo, now chides me for my "American conservatism & inflexibility" -- There is truly no level to which these Westphalians will not stoop in making their false accusations.

They thought "Should we really be flyin'
With three pilots all named O'Brien?
Should confusion ensue
1 could blame it on 2
And all around, folks could be dyin'!"

Thank you for your opinion. I never said any of them were any good. I missed out Simple Minds....and the Bay City Rollers. Who obviously weren't.

Very Happy
