Be no good to smorgsie that mate.

It was a wicked taunt Spendi not an expression of frustration. I obviously need to brush up on my taunting skills.

Shall I explain the taunt?

Twas a reference to Englands use of OS coach in lst world cup because there are no decent coaches born and bred in Britain.

Dammit smorgs have you been spying on my bike riding? Just for your information I'm NOT late and I dont need sat-nav or a map, because I know exactly where I'm going in those pants.

In that "decent" is made the equivalent of "winning". Typical Aussie attitude.

Yes Imur spotted it.

Lederhosen are leather trousers.

Leider-hosen could be roughly translated as regrettable trousers.

But same thing really.

Very Happy

You've missed the wit.

Lurex--lure- sirens--femme fatale etc. Temptation.

Leider- song-- siren song. Pied-piperess.

hosen- bloomers, stockings. suspenders.

All without maps and sat-navs-- flying at random.

Be late- no premature expressions of impatience.

Like I said- pure art.

Lieder- song

leider- unfortunately Spendy's made a cotton bloomer.

But I agree it was artistic from Smorgs, a woman of parts. And sprouts.

Anywhoo our Dear Leader has been explaining why for 10 years as Chancellor of the Exchequer and now Prime Minister, he knew nothing about the money until Saturday night.

I rather like Gordon. At least he has the decency to look uncomfortable when he's forced into being economical with the truth. The other bloke would look you in the eye tell you in 45 minutes we are all dead unless we invade, and you go away believing every word.

It is very good fun I agree.

Put him in a cell with two burly C.I.D officers and we would soon know what's what. Any bank manager who has had a wild fling on wine, women and song out of the till could get off in front of a bunch of fawning "journalists". You have to fawn to get invited. You can't just walk in off the street and join in.

It just goes to show that there's one law for the toffs and another for us poor sods slaving away to provide them the facilities they enjoy.

That bloke with the shaved head on The Bill would soon have it all sorted.

Prima facie evidence in this case seems a good deal stronger that any in the case in Portugal.

I used the form Madame used. She cares little for us pointing out errors in her work. She's a college grad. in typing I think. Had I changed the spelling she would have accused me of subtly criticising her and I would never do anything so disrespectful as that to a Cranford bonnet.

See? Just a few words from our Smorgs, who then retires gracefully to suck on her orange, and we bicker away for ages about it.

It's like being at the court of Gloriana.

Good, isn't it? Baroness Jay knew, and she warned off Hilary Benn.
Gordon knew as far as his campaign was concerned, and he turned down the donation.

But somehow Harriet Harman didn't know.

D'you think they'll wriggle out of this one? If Harriet has to go, it will weaken them considerably.

And what was our chum doing in the front row at Sedgefield, at TB's shindig? Invited by whom, and for what?

The only thing which will be weakened if Harriet has to go is the faith of the chattering classes..

I know!

You may all kiss the hem of my gown...

Seriously though, as I've said, I'm the only one that seems to have a job round 'ere. My frequency of posts reflect that. Plus I've got all those domestics/cooking/shopping to do. Got things to pluck, facepacks to apply, it's a full time job having tits, I tell thee.

Don't be so hard on me boys!

Now I've got to make the tea, wash up, recycle, make packed lunches. Wish I was in Cranford, nothing to do but gossip and adjust me bloomers.

Still, if it wasn't for feminism, I'd be in domestic service anyway. Having no inheritance and no husband to support me.

Unless, of course, someone's offering marriage?

Take me away from all this. I'd make a good wife...

I've heard today that women like feminism especially then when they've got a good lover ...

Feminism keeps women in the kitchen, instead of the bedroom, Walt.

Are YOU a good lover?

Oh do tell, I love to chatter on matters of coitus.

Does Germanic efficiency continue in the bedroom?

You see, smorgs, such talk is X-rated and can't be written here on A2K before 11pm.

We'll certainly talk about it sometime in future (did you know that I've got an university degree in sexual paedagogics as well?)!
