No wonder they practice their cricket a lot.

It's a "flange" down-under. A "frange" in Japlish.

Can we rely on you being right Spendi?

I seem to remember you once thinking an itchy-fanny was a Japanese Motor Bike!

I look a bit like Terry Wogan too, and am having "senior moments" more frequently these days.

Just came back from a nice trip to Italy, and I'll tell you more about that if you like.

No... you're alright, Muckty...

You must be tired, you need to rest and take a load off your slingbacks.

Save it for lunch.

I told a ticket inspector on the train out of Cologne (that's Koeln) to go and *uck himself. He said I would be put off the train at the next stop. He seriously got on my tits.

The old-fashioned way of writing it was to put an E after the U but in modern German the vowel (where required) is modified by an umlaut which signifies the same thing.
It's the two cute little dots.
If your keyboard won't do the dots then it's okay to use the old way.

Yes I was able to indicate the concept of Gastfreundlichkeit in my tirade to the inspector. But I'm afraid I also lapsed into Anglo-Saxon as one is wont to do in times of stress.
