Steve, get over your current injury before you earn yourself another.
You know it makes sense.

This is the true British spirit.

They are talking about the banking system collapsing around our ears and us all getting incinerated and all we can talk about is tumbling off a bike in the path of an oncoming vehicle.

And other stuff I haven't time to mention.

Listen sucker!! And listen good.

If I, for one moment, one as short as a drop of water passing the millwheel unexploited, thought that the toss-pot on the right was good looking, compared to Clary, I would throw myself into a raging torrent, swim around for a bit, give myself a good talking to, a severe bollocking actually, strike out to the nearest rocks, shake the drops off and get back into the swing of things.

Don't worry yourself too much about our resident grouse, Vinny, none of the rest of us have got used to him either.

He doesn't even know that there are no rocks in a mill race.

I had a crash on my bicycle today!

Then I did a road rage on the motorist whose fault it was.

Isn't life grand! Rolling Eyes

Damn, it was Mathos who crashed! When I read that yesterday, I thought it was Steve.
Hence my subsequent remark. What am I like?

Rolling Eyes

Hope no lasting damage done to man nor bike.

Hey that's the start of a poem....

When you're cycling down the street
Don't collide with those you meet
Buses, white vans, 4 x 4s
Watch out for those opening doors

Mornin' all (VETERAN MEMBER HERE)

I'm always considerate towards cyclist...

But they are not so considerate towards me when I am a pedestrian!

Trouble with cyclists, they want it both ways. Bit of traffic? No problem, I'll just ride my bike on the pavement, even though it's against the law.

Tell me it aint so...

However, I do hope Mathos is okay and didn't get anything tangled in the chain, and never rides on the pavement.

Just got a Doctors appointment for 11am my back and arm took the impact. Didn't fancy joining one of those long lines at A & E.

No Spendius I didn't hit the clown, I couldn't get his bloody car door open!

He phoned for the plod, who came quite smartly, they overlooked him giving me his Insurance details, and I think they might just do him for driving without due care and attention.

It woke Bretherton up a bit anyhow.

I have got a practice chanter, but no bag for it.

No, the ancient skills of the piobaireachd are beyond me.

But I can play the banjo and the trombone! But not at the same time, obviously.

An A2K pickup band, what a novel idea. Idea

My doctor actually prescribed riding on the pavement as being good for one's health.

Trouble is in this country we never get it right. They've just built a new 2 mile stretch of cycle track near here, but on the cheap by widening the footpath over the grass verge. But they left the street furniture in place, so every 100m there's a lampost right in the middle of the cycle track. We are a laughing stock.

I never noticed when I became a veteran. I noticed becoming a Newbie from a Just Hatched though.

I wonder when my 10,000th entry into a pub will be, or was.

cicerone imposter is a "guru" which is enough to make anybody refuse to look at a map of India.

Do you fancy being a guru smorgsie.

Did you think that would go un-noticed?

You egomaniacal bugger!

Is your tweed flat-cap size extra large? Or the largest you can get with a slit up the back to allow for extra ego, held together with velcro?

Reading in the MEN about a 'big girls night out'. Might go, they sound really hefty, I'll look slim. They'll be plenty of chubby-chasers there...

...probably one wearing A BIG TWEED FLAT CAP!

We have all got minor works of art on here. I have a particular fondness for my 'It's my thread and I'll swear if I want to'.

Made me hoot reading it again.

I've got a filthy gob on me that's for sure.
