Got your name jumbled up, sorry!

I quite like Wlat, like Vlad the Impaler, you could be Wlat the Informer, as you always know about timetables and such.

How come you never looked ME up, whilst visiting Mancunia?

because i dont like you

sorry smorgs time constraints an all

I went into the US from Vancouver (to Point Roberts i think it was called). I saw all these Canadian cars being waved through...I airly flashed my Brit passport and was instantly pulled over. Had to answer a whole load of questions including "Stephen, have you ever committed an act of Gross Moral Terpitude?" To which I said whats that?

"Well have you ever done anything REAL bad?"

Not recently I replied....then quickly realised it was not conducive to an easy passage into the US to be flippant. About 1/2 hour later we were on our way, bought some cheap gasoline and turned back into Canada.

(Also stopped at the casino/whorehouse by mistake)

The Canadians were not bothered about any acts of gross moral terpitude recent or otherwise.

I know a Vicar who lost his Parish due to over indulgence, but he will perform the wedding ceremony for a cheap rate, how's that for starters?

Yes it's really very odd.

When I drove with my family into the USA and announced ourselves as British tourists coming from Ottawa, I was asked to leave the automobile and go into the immigration office, where I was asked if I intended to overthrow the government of the United States.

I managed to reassure them on that score. Then I was informed that my 10-year visa was too good for a tourist to have, I should have had a visitor's visa. Too well prepared, apparently.

But hey. We laughed about it afterwards, but you don't want to mess with these people. They are seriously strange. I believe British immigration is similar.

Ages ago, you needed a "viitor card" when entering the UK with an ID-card (which I did, because I either had no passport or it wasn't valid anymore).
So, 37 years ago I wrote "soldier" in the formula. And was called to the immigration officer on the Cherbourg-Southhampton ferry. He kindly asked me to take a new formula and write "student" in it. The other profession - though true, even as a conscript - could give some delays entering.

That has been the only time I've ever done more than showing my ID-card when/before setting my feet on Her Majesty's own soil - from 1963 onwards until today.

Is it true that Muslims are going to build a Mosque bigger than S.t Pauls in London?
Is anyone else not a racist, but not happy about this either?

If they need a big building for their worship and can afford it, is it really a matter of concern for anyone else?

Are we bovvered?

Well yes it is really, because in my book it's just one step closer to Muslims ruling the world.
I know thats sounds stupid, but I don't care because I'm half asleep.
Why do they have to make it bigger than S.t Pauls? It's just shoving it in our faces.

If I went to Iraq I would cover up and do as their country's traditions asked. It's a pity that we can't get the same treatment. But I suppose thats the price we pay for being a free country.

So we have a free country, and you're not happy about that?

I believe the churches in England only started filling up when the Poles arrived.

Let's build a really big, empty church, bigger than anything. That'll show 'em.

As every true Brit knows an act of-

Quote:
Gross Moral Terpitude

is indecent behaviour with 144 members of the opposite sex either all at once, in manageable fragments or one at a time.

Somebody said-

I remember arriving back in Blighty after what any reasonable Court of Human Rights would designate as a "cruel and unusual punishment" (for being born) and I can't recall any immigration officials having the bottle to be anywhere near the vicinity. And I don't blame them.

I kissed the wet tarmac like the Pope does but he's on a photo-call and is only pretending.

Listen Queenie- As long as McAlpines or John Laing or Redrow or somesuch get the contract for the edifice you have no need to worry your lovely little head about it. GB has things under control. If anything untoward takes place we have Ball Wrecking Ltd, a subsiduary of one of the aforementioned, eagerly awaiting on the starting blocks.

You just enjoy yourself. Leave the logistics to us.
