It was a yoot what did it...

Not much has changed.

I've entered the MEN comp to go and see The Temptations and The Four Tops in November, you can come with me Dorothy, there is no doubt that Prince got soul, but he MUST pay homage to those that went before him, and indeed he does...

have you noticed the echos of My Girl in Sexy Muthafocker?

xxx

No smorgs I haven't (it's Sexy MF btw) and Prince does not HAVE to do anything. And I'll take a rain check on the Temptations and Four Tops gig thanks.

Okay we just got back from Germany this evening, so don't panic, all is well.

I notice that Man City have two more points than ManU this evening, so am quite content. Shame about Wayne Rooney's foot.

Oh and BTW, I heard Sophie Baxter Easton Ellis on the radio yesterday...

She said that the Prince concert (although brilliant) was a slight disappointment because he didn't sing hardly any of his back catalougue, said he varies the concert each night he performs and that she's heard on other nights he sang Cream, Get Off etc, but stuck to mainly he new stuff on the night she went.

Had you heard that?

He and his band have 150 songs rehearsed so he can play different songs at every show. He is there until the 21st of September so obviously there is gonna be variety. Sophie was unlucky in her choice of date if all she wanted to hear were his well known hits. Shame for her.

This struck me as odd:

I went into the courtyard of the Staatsbibliothek in Berlin, an ivy-covered imposing entrance to a building containing millions of books on the enlightenment of mankind and the advance of civilisation, and looked into the waters of the ornamental fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Visitors had thrown coins in there, echoes of a pagan custom whereby offerings were made to the gods of the underworld by throwing items into a spring.

Aren't we funny.

Who are this "we" Mac.

Are they that miniscule percentage of the human race who find themselves wandering aimlessly into the courtyard of the Staatsbibliothek in Berlin, an ivy-covered imposing entrance to a building containing millions of books on the enlightenment of mankind and the advance of civilisation, and looking into the waters of the ornamental fountain in the middle of the courtyard searching for boredom relief.

They are funny I agree.

I'm not sure that ten zeros with a one at the end after the decimal point is not an exaggeration of the percentage of the human race which have found themselves wandering aimlessly into the courtyard of the Staatsbibliothek in Berlin, an ivy-covered imposing entrance to a building containing millions of books on the enlightenment of mankind and the advance of civilisation, and looking into the waters of the ornamental fountain in the middle of the courtyard searching for boredom relief.

If your assets Mac were reduced to that percentage of what they are now you would not only not be able to buy a frog a jacket you would be wandering around the roads looking for fag stumps.

And that qualifies as miniscule in my way of thinking.

Now that you have looked over the millions of books on the enlightenment of mankind and the advance of civilisation I suppose you consider yourself an intellectual. Being habituated to marking one's own exam papers does often lead in that direction.

I would have used "gazed listlessly and pensively" rather than "looked".

It flows in an appropriately pellucid manner I feel.

Bloody sore. I've got a blister from too much walking in sandals, two swollen achilles tendons from behaving as though I were a yearling which I am no more, and a big bash and cut on my shin which needed stitching.

So me and Wayne are not up for team selection for a while.
