Osso--

I'll keep you all posted--when I know. The Specialist Surgeon left last night for a vacation in the sun and won't be back until March 10. He assured me that the pathology lab would take that long to process the biopsy samples, but I think a ten day wait (on top of a two month wait) is just a little unreasonable.

I'm going to try to add one of my other doctors to the Path Lab's list-to-notify.

Eva--

My d-i-l checked the Calendar of Saints and has enlisted St. Peregrine. Prayers are welcome--particularly from you.

Sakhi--

Loving thoughts are also very welcome.

Chumly--

I appreciate your best wishes. Thank you.

Walter--

May the Intertia of Past Good Fortune be Powerful.

Jespah--

Thanks for herding my cats.

This will be a long day.

Noddy

I'm wishing you all the best, too.

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this again.

(Should I plant another Noddy 24 in my garden?)

I'll add to that a
St. Peregrine, pray for me, Noddy and for all who invoke your aid.
and if I knew the saint of Friday ... St. Simplicius - that's simple, indeed.
As well as (since 2003) Angela de la Cruz [Maria de los Angeles].

I'll engage them as well.

O'Bill--

You're a hugging fool and I'm grateful for that.

Ms. Olga--

Just wander out and tell Noddy24 that while the summer is ending, you expect that she'll still be flourishing in the springtime.

Walter--

You're a good man for research. Thank you.

RP--

Boston vibes are superior vibes. Thank you.

Noddy, I don't care what beach your surgeon is lying on, a ten-day wait is definitely unreasonable.

Hold...no, grab!...his dominion.

Hoping for a positive outcome for you, Noddy, from someone who survived such an ordeal many years back.

When you go through something like this, it really affects the folks immediately around you, too? How is your husband holding up?

(I can't believe I read through this entire thread and nobody said it.)

Put me down for the 9:30 Friday virtual handholding. I wouldn't miss it. I'll say a prayer, too, even if you don't go for that sort of thing.

said it, type it, erased it, said it again.

joining in the circles of hands on Friday.

Eva--

I spent nearly 2 1/2 hours in this Young Twerp's office. Twenty minutes of that time was talking to Young Twerp or the PA. Possibly another twenty minutes was taken up with their office staff booking the hospital appointment (the one the paperwork didn't get transferred for).

Maddened by 2 months of medical oopsies, I said that I didn't feel as though I'd been treated with dignity. Wow! I had a five minute lecture--and reprise--of what a warm and caring surgeon he was.

Last night when I talked to him, in spite of the snafu with my records and in spite of the fact that he'd be basking on a beach until Monday, March 12, he insisted that he was a warm and caring surgeon. He won't be responsible for the delay--that will be the Path Lab.

If it weren't for his reputation as a surgeon.....and surgeons are not noted for bedside matter.

Reyn--

This is my third go round for a biopsy for possible cancer. The first two times....well...I'm a survivor. Unfortunately my husband does not do well with stress. He also has many health problems of his own.

JPB--

Thank you.

Saint Peregrine.

Marvellous.

Peregrines are wild and mighty and fierce (and dang good parents). Exactly what's needed.

John and Charles Wesley are commemorated in the Calendar of Saints of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on March 2nd.

and then there was Chad

Quote:
Chad died on 2 March 672 and was buried at the church of Saint Mary which later became part of the cathedral at Lichfield. According to Bede, he was immediately venerated as a saint and his relics were translated to a new shrine. He is considered a saint in the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches. His feast day is celebrated on 2 March.

EhBeth--

I'm tickled by your eclectic approach to morale building. We're both complicated women.

Letty--

I have known some very pleasant, personable, qualified surgeons. Unfortunately talented plumbers are not necessarily good company. If I need drastic surgery, I'm demanding full anesthesia.

Cjhsa--

Thank you. Your good wishes are appreciated.

George--

Prayers...wishes...vibes...on top off all this can I ask for a 100 yard dash tomorrow? Providing the parking lots aren't icy?

The hospital just called. The radiologist thinks he has a good chance to get a needle into my lump.

I have to be at the Short Procedure Unit at 10 a.m. and the biopsy is scheduled for 12.
