For years and years, there used to be a dog grooming place near my house called "Doggie Styles"

I guess the owner retired, I miss the place.

That has been my experience. Except for my marriages, of course.

The name is a bit over the top. Much to my surprise, a woman who I used to work with, a Serials Librarian loved the restaurant. She and her husband go there often for the burgers..

When I was growing up my father used to refer to female dogs as "bitches." Even as a 6 year old I used to cringe when he said it.

But, this is clever and funny too. The reason why it works is because it's woman who runs the place. If it were a man I'd be a little wary. There's the saying that it's okay to make fun of your own.

What people cant all think to get worked up about..

Some people (ie, the ones quoted in the story) need a chill pill, or some uptightness relaxation cure. Sheesh.
