A couple years ago when they were in a rather dire financial situation they moved from "appetizing" in their marketing towards edgy, humorous and viral.
They are doing this kind of thing so people post this kind of thread and give them free marketing, and it works fairly well. It's meant to appeal to young guys more so than any other demographic but their quirky and viral campaigns are some text-book cases for viral marketing.
