Oh god, what a disappointment.
I am so glad I did not spend the money to see this at the theater. The case of Beth Short was literally a side line in this movie. And the "facts" were not facts at all.
She was not a whore.
They put her in a porn film, which cannot be proved to have ever existed.
They presumed to know where the murder actually took place and what happened between the time she went missing and the time her body was found.
They found the killer. I was like "what the....".

Considering they still to this day don't have one solid lead as to who did this. They still have a whole bunch of suspects.
Not to mention, out of the entire 2 and 1/2 hours of the movie, they devoted maybe 30 minutes to the story of Beth Short.
Wasn't that what the movie was suppose to be about????
Then I realized it was based on a book. And that the book was largely fiction. I wish they had marketed it as such.
Maybe had I not known the real story so well and had I not anticipated actually seeing a movie about what really happened, I might have liked it. Oh and had they actually made the movie about the Black Dahlia murder.
