I've been blowing off steam from when I first saw it this morning.

I'm the culprit, but with good intensions as my list of e-mail addresses was obtained from a source that was public. I was trying to find a way for us to stay in touch if there was an A2K failure. My mistake was not using the blind copy key when I sent the e-mails.
I apologize to everyone. I have now learned how to send blind copies.

I don't think I was on that mailing list (have checked two out of three likely email addresses, the other one should be harmless but if not I'll be quite steamed myself), but I like the idea of having a rendezvous point as DrewDad indicates rather than a mailing list. Like, make a site (I could put something decent enough together on SiteKreator in about 5 minutes), post url here, everyone bookmarks, and then that's where we head if something's up with A2K.

I am absolutely certain BBB meant no harm, but was simply trying to keep us all together. If I get a little more spam because of it, pfffft. (It would hardly be noticeable!)
Like most of us, I was sitting here passively, waiting for someone to do something. Kudos to BBB for taking action, be it perfect or not. At least it got us started on the right track. Soz's emergency rendesvous site was badly needed.
