For both sentimental and semiscientific reasons, I'd like to look up the amount of snowfall in Evanston, Illinois in the different years from 1951 through 1954. I've googled a bit, to little avail. As it is the first suburb north of Chicago, I suppose northern Chicago by the lake numbers would do.
I'm a little surprised this is not accessibe to me, but I may be looking it up incorrectly.

On that page is an E-mail addy of a guy that has access to what you seek and, according to the article, he willingly looks that sort of stuff up for people.
