@Roberta,
Fake fox photo? Not sure now you've pointed out lack of prints in snow - also, in the original caption, it mentions that the were snapped as they ran up a hill - flat hill? But, as you say, great pic.

A Dyeing Poison Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius) is perched atop a coconut shell. Its flashy coloring serves as a warning to potential predators that making a meal of this tiny toxic creature would be a mistake.

The Land of Stray Dogs, or Territorio de Zaguates in Costa Rica is considered one of the best places on the planet for a dog to live. This sprawling refuge allows all of its 900 citizens to range free during the day. They are given fresh flowing water intermittently over the whole property and are given a bed in a sheltered structure where volunteers go to feed and bathe the dogs.
This free range sanctuary explores how a free range environment improves health and adoptability. It is a no kill shelter. Each dog is given a name and a unique breed name of their own (for their egos, lol). If you wish to adopt you can schedule a walking hike on their property, and if any of them choose you, you will be allowed to adopt them.
of course, anyone is welcome to just come for a free hike to hang out with the dogs

Cartsen Braun entitled his photograph "morning chat," showing 3 Steller's sea eagles from Japan in the early sun, part of the competition Glanzlichter 2016 in Germany (glanzlichter.com/).

Roberta!!!

I saw one photo of this on my google news page yesterday and didn't save it, but thought better of that and looked harder online just now, and geez now there are more photos (somewhere) and a video, here below.

One of my favorite-favorite baseball players, now with the San Francisco Giants, is Johnny Cueto. When he is good, he is very very good, unbelievably zeroed in. He's also a horseman, oh my, on likely a Paso Fino horse; they are prancers. I remember my business ptnr/friend, the one who was very into dressage, telling me about Paso Finos.

@Roberta,
I looked at Cueto and the prancing horse again, sad it was just a phot0 this time, but then I clicked on it, and sure enough the video started, horse dancing prancing nicely.

@edgarblythe,
I was able to see the panda preserve in Chendu, China. They're the ones who supplied the pandas at the San Diego zoo.

@vonny,
vonny, great picture of the ray. It looks huge.

edgar, We require thud alerts on this thread. I need a warning if something exceptionally cute is being posted. Otherwise I'll faint. Like now. THUD.
