Reminds me of a tale from a 50s Mad Comic Book. This man in prison was so adept at digging out to escape, he dug out with a nostril hair, when it was all that was left to him to work with.

I'm assuming that this is a Siberian tiger (unlikely that a Bengal tiger would be surrounded by snow--unless it was in a zoo).

A tiny sloth, stuck on the central reservation of a motorway and clinging to the crash barrier for dear life, has tugged heartstrings around the world. It was spotted in the city of Quevedo, Ecuador, after becoming trapped by traffic passing on either side at high speed.

BREAKING SLOTH NEWS: The Comisión de Tránsito del Ecuador said the little animal had been returned to the wild after being checked by a vet, who determined that it was in 'optimal condition for return to its habitat'.

Gorilla Youngsters Seen Dismantling Poachers' Traps—A First

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/content/dam/news/photos/000/569/56901.adapt.1190.1.jpg

Just days after a poacher's snare had killed one of their own, two young mountain gorillas worked together Tuesday to find and destroy traps in their Rwandan forest home, according to conservationists on the scene.

"This is absolutely the first time that we've seen juveniles doing that ... I don't know of any other reports in the world of juveniles destroying snares," said Veronica Vecellio, gorilla program coordinator at the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund's Karisoke Research Center, located in the reserve where the event took place.

"We are the largest database and observer of wild gorillas ... so I would be very surprised if somebody else has seen that," Vecellio added.

A poignant picture of Jessie the Black Labrador's last visit to the seaside at Redcar beach, North Yorkshire has gone viral after capturing the hearts of animal lovers. Jessie the Black Labrador was deaf, going blind, suffered from arthritis and needed to be lifted out from a van for her visit to the seaside. But despite her age and ailments, the 15-and-a-half year-old pet had the energy for one final run.
