@vonny,
Wow. I think you can even see the Ampullae of Lorenzini (dimples that it uses to sense electric fields) on its nose.

@roger,
Everybody's got an attitude.

IMO the black leopard is one of the top three most beautiful mammals. Just one kid's opinion.

@Roberta,
I saw one in a cage once, probably, looking back, some transport cage, at the LA Zoo when I was maybe eighteen. I still remember the angle of the cage and the pacing leopard. Now I presume that was just temporary, but I was stunned how horrible and at the same time how beautiful the animal. I'm not all against zoos 50 years later, but chafe about them.

I have no idea what it is. Sorry! An online friend of mine on another forum is an entymologist. I hope to hear from him soon. These things are only 2~4 mm long.

@FBM,
I don't know what it is either. Leaf Hoppers have some strange shapes, but I would need a view from another angle to have any hope of figuring this one out.

@rosborne979,
Turns out they're called lace bugs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tingidae

This insect photography thing is turning into an education.

That's a great photo, and it's only half of a shark, but the crisp detail, among other things, is what makes it.
