Wunderbar, Reg. A keeper. If I wasn't a speed demon, I'd consider switching.

As I live and breathe, dadpad. It's a blue-tongued skink. Thanks for adding it to the collection.

The blue tongue lizard wasn't happy about having its photo take either. Hissing at us the whole time. Excellent snail control for the garden. They are reasonably common in our yard. Rarely a yer goes by when I dont see one.

I saw two of these on the road home from work yesterday.

As I live and breathe, dadpad. It's a banded tiger snake. You saw this just slithering around? Venom makes me noivous.

Osso, Not gonna get into a staring contest with this guy. But that's a face to die for. Love it. Thanks, kid.

We just call them tiger snakes.

I did not see one I saw two... Separatly... on the road, when I was coming home from work. Yes I do see them now and again up close and personal. Gives me a huge adrenalin rush. Need to be very careful of them around creek lines as they will have a go.

Tiger snakes are one of the most venomous snakes in the world.

dadpad, You guys down under have more than your fair share of venomous beasties. Snakes, jellyfish. Not much for monkeys and great apes. But hey, nobody's poifect.

The young and endangered

A San Diego Zoo worker cares for two of the worlds most critically endangered great apes, called bonobos, Friday in the zoo's nursery in San Diego. With wild populations being decimated at alarming rates in Democratic Republic of Congo, the recent birth of a male infant named Tutapenda, left, on Oct. 29 is a significant milestone for conservation efforts.
