A member of the 'mackerel shark" family. The unique feature of these sharks is like that of the Bluefin tunas. They are Warm Blooded.

that whole family is a moving mouth. The great White is part of the mackerel shark family.

Have dived with grey nurses, but haven't encountered a white. Can't say I want that to change.

Not really, Ros. Yours is a Phycodurus eques

Wilso's is a Weedy Seadragon (Phyllopteryx taeniolatus), endemic of southern Australia as is yours.

You're probably right. I wasn't trying to be precise with that one, just trying to get in the ballpark Smile (didn't have time at the moment to find more detail)

They are of the same family, anyway, and live it the same areas..
