Thanks for all the wonderful pic, you guys. Phoenix, that video left me breathless. Amazing photography. WOW! I had to remind myself not to root for the squirrel or the bird. Both have to survive. Throwing in another wow.

With a sand-covered nose, military working dog Penny pauses to listen to her partners next command. Penny is deployed here as a frontline detection dog and is stationed at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Prior to her service in the Air Force, Penny served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an independent detector dog.

I don't know if this has already been posted but I came across this today and as I'd never heard of a pangolin I thought others might not have either:

Many, many wonderful pics. I thank you all.

Question: Timur, what is that magnificent bird?

Boomer, I'm familiar with pangolins. I've seen films and photos of them. Never saw one taking a mud bath.

Taiwan Blue Magpie.

Wiki wrote:
In the 2007 National Bird Voting Campaign held by the Taiwan International Birding Association,[3] there were over 1 million votes cast from 53 countries. The Taiwan Blue Magpie defeated the Mikado Pheasant and was chosen as Taiwan's national bird, though it has yet to be formally accepted.
