That's a skeeter called Aedes albopictus. It's a vector for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, but it's very rare this far north. Good thing, because that's my blood in it.

The National Geographic has a section with awesome candid-camera footage of Serengiti lions, shot by a robot. Unfortunately the pictures are not embeddable here, so you'll have to check them out at the National Geographic webpage by yourself.
