@timur,
FBM, The bug pics are amazing. Not sure what I'm looking at in the first photo. (Reminder: I love spiders.)

Debacle, Any cat that aspires to dogdom ain't no cat in my book.

vonny, A promise is a promise. I said I'd post the kid/goat pic if I could find it. Not sure I see it as "lovely," but it brings back happy memories for me. The swan is lovely. Impressed that you took that picture. Hang on, mouse. Great shot of the little rodent. Thanks.

timur, In a word, WOW! Spectacular. (oops. Two words.) Thanks mucho.

Good boy, Barry. It nice to see that you're attempting to act older than 17.

I was investigating the fauna of the rice paddy across the street. That's a tiny frog in hiding. Smile

How about baby spiders, then?

@hingehead,
Okay, do they think this one through or is it just copy catting their elders?

@JTT,
Not sure what you mean J, but I did use the image search on google to look up what they are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-eared_titi

White-Eared Titi's from Bolivia.

@hingehead,
I was referring to the tail wrap, Hinge, which I think is a safety feature. If I'm correct, then how did they learn this?

@JTT,
Way beyond my limited knowledge. That instinct/learned behaviour dichotomy is fascinating though.

Buttloads of damselflies in the rice paddy across the street.

Had to do a lot of cropping, so the quality may not be there. Tiny little buggers.

@FBM,
The photos of damselflies are amazing - not easy to take close-ups of something so tiny, my attempts have been abysmal so far. Had better luck with a friendly pigeon though, here he (or she) is -

@vonny,
That's a gorgeous image of the pigeon, vonny! There's a lot of texture in there!

Hang in there with the tiny stuff. It's like anything else, it takes a lot of practice, patience and sheer LUCK. Wink

@FBM,
Thank you so much - still shy about posting my photos, so any encouragement helps. Not hard to take pictures of friendly creatures like pigeons and geese!

Please don't be shy about it! I'm eager to see what you've seen that was pic-worthy. Smile

@vonny,
I'm a New Yorker who actually appreciates his pigeon neighbors. Bring em on! Smile
