Wilso, Thanks for the wonderful photos. No one could ever guess where you're from. I did a little research on cassowaries. They're very reclusive, big, and territorial. Sorry to hear that people have been hurt by them.

dadpad, Two of the unidentified birds you posted looked familiar to me. Did a bit of poking around. I think I've been able to figure out what they are. Not 100 percent certain, but here goes:

The first one (with the white nose) may be a Eurasian coot.

The one with the red on its head may be a purple swamphen (I'm fairly sure about this one). Thanks for posting these. I love dem boids.

I concur with those identifications roberta.

The ducks are (Woodies) wood ducks.

Trust me to post a picture of a Woody. ah well, beautifull animals, both kinds.

dadpad, Wasn't sure about the ducks. Couldn't see them clearly enough to be certain. This way you get to announce the woodies. Only fitting.

Magpies are bold in the US of A too. Just genetically programmed to be crooks, I guess.

When I posted the pic of the roadrunner, I had a feeling that someone might show up with a coyote. dadpad, you didn't disappoint. Not surprised it was you.

coolwhip, I took a sneak peak at the monsters (the first two). They're of this planet? Holy moley. I'll look at the remaining 22 when I get back from the hospital. Thanks for that link. I love dem monsters.
