Since an accident that put me in a wheelchair, I've appreciated photographs more - especially the ones that reach places I can't easily access! Most of the photographs I take are taken from a wheelchair or mobility scooter - or a wheeled garden seat - so it does limit me somewhat. Not that I took particularly good photos even before my accident! I'm just a snapper - but a keen snapper. I do appreciate good photographs and love animals, so this thread is a delight to me.
Oh, I see. Hmm. I took those last ones just outside my apt where there's a garden and plenty of insects this time of year. I guess macro photography outdoors does require mobility and flexibility, though. Have you posted some of your own work? I'd like to see some...
Giving my snaps the title 'work' makes them sound a lot grander than they really are! I really only take photographs of old buildings and dogs nowadays - and don't know how to post them, even if they were good enough!
A 'snappy' one! Panasonic Lumix SZ1 16.1 MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom- and for me that's a lot of information! Only went digital three or four years ago - this is my third camera since then, they improve just a little each time. It's a 'press the button in auto and snap' type of camera!
That is a nice camera! If you want to upload some photos, you can save the .jpg files to a site like Photobucket or Flickr, then copy and paste the links in you posts here. It's simple enough that even I can do it!
I will try - if nothing else, I'd like to upload a photograph of my Labradors, especially the one that died in January. Must investigate Photobucket again - I had been told of it once before, but was so new to computing and computers that I was nervous of even trying. Thank you.
You're very welcome. Let me know if you have any problems with Photobucket. I've had an account there for years.

@Roberta,

I'd be grateful if you wouldn't post pictures of "deformed" animals on this thread ("cyclops" monkey).
Sorry about that, I did believe this to be a very interesting and even a pretty animal picture without any jarring deformities. I really expected to have to explain that it was a real picture and not photo shopped. I was on a trend at that time of 'animals can be wierd, alien and yet wonderful looking'.
I understand your concern and will try to not let it happen again!
Maybe somebody elses btw, I see where you are coming from, I think it is the cyclops effect and it just does not occur in nature. I even had the same effect with the despicable me character; and, they always put a goggle on him for added effect.
