@ossobuco,
I'm a cat person osso BUT if I had the space for it to run,a Border Collie would be on my list,along with a couple of pigs.

@hingehead,
I don't think those are very wild horses, Hinge. I saw a program where the "wild" horses would come right up to the fence where a German fella petted them and his dog had almost nose to nose contact with the horses.

@JTT,
That's OK, it's the aesthetics rather than the personalities that attracted me Smile

@Barry The Mod,
I love Border Collies - wonderfully intelligent and sensitive dogs. Beautiful photograph!

Lucky you - hope you get to see them in full gallop! I love this photo - have it as my screensaver - always cheers me when I power up.

@vonny,
Mrs hinge's research confirms they aren't wild, they're just not fenced in. Apparently you can ride them, I hope they don't mind.

@Barry The Mod,
It's funny how worried poor Wilbur looks during this encounter.

Your next social worker perhaps?

Wilbur and his handler were standing in the street when,out of the blue,the cow trotted up to him,gave him a good sniffing,then sauntered away.I reckon I'd look surprised if a cow sniffed me :-)

Even Monkeys Learn to Eat Local

April 25, 2013

A new study on groups of vervet monkeys suggests that social learning may have a greater influence on behavior development than previously thought.

@tsarstepan,
osso, The fox and the birds photos are stunners. Major wow. Thanks, kid.

vonny, What a spectacular horse pic. Wild, shmild. They're gorgeous. Thanks, and feel better.

Barry, Glorious shot of the border collie. I rarely see them in the city. They're smart, beautiful, and ACTIVE. I know how Wilbur feels. I once met a cow face to face. Much bigger than I expected. A lot bigger. Large. The tiger face takes my breath away. And caused a bit of plotzing. Not a lot. Thanks mushisimo.

tsar, That llama has a strange hairdo, but appears to be a sweetie pie, so I can overlook the hair. Thanks for the primate info.
