@cicerone imposter,
Ill bet, if you didnt see an egg, you couldnt tell whether this chicken would lay white or brown eggs?

but there is an easy way

@farmerman,
Since you asked, I'd guess brown.

You mean chickens have earlobes? Who knew? do they get them pierced? Does someone make chicken earrings for them?

@MontereyJack,
Now, that's a thought. Why don't you start a business making earrings for chickens? Do you know how many hens there are? LOL

@cicerone imposter,
C.I., these Silkie chickens look like they are already wearing blue earrings. A Silkie is a minature ornamental chicken

Here's a trio of these adorable boids.

I sort of expect them to start doing the chicken dance.

@firefly,
rosborne, Doozy close-up. Great pic. Amazing color. Thanks.

Thanks for the chicken pic, c.i. I met a few chickens in my youth. It seems to me that if you're going into the chicken earring business, a key question would be do chickens have money?

Barry, A beautiful, gentle-looking spuds. Thanks mucho.

firefly, Ornamental chickens? Who knew? Well, you did. That trio made me smile. It looks like they're wearing pants. Thanks for the pics.

@Roberta,
The chick sexing business has been good to Japanese Americans since before WWII.

@vonny,
osso, Thanks mucho. They are wonderful--and wooly.

vonny, That chicken looks just a little surprised. I sat on eggs for three weeks and I get a bunch of black furry things. No chicks? Great pic. Thanks.

@vonny,
vonny. I love dogs. German shepherds are my favorite breed. I had a cocker spaniel when I was a little Roberta. And there's a beautiful porcelain springer spaniel on display in my living room. Three out of five ain't bad.
