Ooh, I thought he looked a bit like a crimson rosella so did some hunting.

Wikipedia calls him a Red Lory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Lory

I wonder what the difference between a Lory and Lorikeet is? I'd never heard of Lory before. More hunting..
