Way back in the late sixties and again in the mid seventies while on military assignments in Guam I became fascinated with the magnificent variety of animal life that existed beneath the surface of the surface of the ocean. on both tours of duty I was an avid snorkeler and had salt water aquariums in which housed a small portion of animal life I experienced. These aquariums gave endless enjoyment to me my family and friends. You could easily spend hours at a time viewing the activity.
This Conus Geographus with a Gobie peering over his back is one of my favorite photos from those days. Apologies for the quality of the image. My ability to digitize slides has plenty of room for improvement. The Geographus is one of about fifty known mollusks that is a predator of fish.
