@snood,
Sorry snood the site I get these from often has zero or bad metadata. The big cat was listed as a cheetah, but I'm sure it's a leopard . I'm going to see if google images can figure it, back soon.

@snood,
Near as I can tell snood it's some sort of a paper wasp - All google could tell me was the site I got it from probably lifted it from a site written in Chinese, which looks like yet another nature photography site with bad metadata.

The forearms are right, but that waist is something I can't find.

Polar bears scavenging, by Howie Garber, USA. The corpse of a grey whale in Alaska lured in a surprising crowd. Polar bears are usually solitary, and hunt on sea-ice. But this group contained adult males, at least one female, sub-adults and cubs. Another 30 or so bears waited their turn. As a result of climate change, sea-ice has retreated record distances from the coast in recent summers. This might explain the unusual gathering, as these bears could have been stranded on land, far from their usual prey.

MJ, I finally regained consiousness after viewing the cutest video ever. Not a repeat. Fact is that baby pandas can sit around doing nothing and look cute. Mahvelous and big thanks.

FBM, Stunning shot of a stunning deer. Thanks mucho.

Barry, Great pic. The sense of scale is wonderful. The kitten just gets above the horse's hooves. Love it. The mama cat/kitten story would warm the cockles of my heart if my heart had cockles. I've been checked. It doesn't. Thanks muchisimo.

Ceili, Dem sharpeis are too much. Great pic. Thanks, kid. Also thanks for the beautiful, big white horse. A doozy.

tsar, They're making a horse jump in this heat? Glad they're cooling him off first. He seems to appreciate it. I love that bee pic. Love it, I tell ya. Why? I'm not sure. But I do. Thanks. Glad their cooling off the brown bear. Look at those claws!

HH, A leopard with a headache? Aggravation? Who knows. Gawgeous animal. Glad the wasp question was resolved. What an other-wordly looking animal. Tres great.

Strauss, Thanks for the wasp info. A stunning looking animals.

firefly, Positively amazing picture. One for the ages. Grazie mille.

Well, gang, I'm caught up. You guys are the best.
