I found them when I took the link to the swimming tiger on Malek's thread, Roberta. That's the danger of links, of course; I might never come back!

a family of rabbits has been living under our spruce trees - about 15 feet from the house - for a number of years .
we live pretty well in the city centre with buses running in adjoining streets - they don't seeem to be bothered by city life but are rather enjoying it - no coyotes !
after the snowmelt we can usually see their droppings on the lawn , and we may see mother rabbit out with a couple of young ones when the grass starts to come up .
once it gets a little warmer we usually don't see more than one rabbit at a time during the daytime - i imagine they are feeding at night - have seen them near the trees .
this rabbit comes out quite regularly for a visit when we are sitting on the porch having an afternoon cuppa .
it seems to be rather discriminating in what it will feed on . it made the mistake to bite on a stale tulip leaf and promptly spit it out !
nice juicy flower shoots are preferred !

I love wabbits, despite their habits.
'tis not their fault, the search for rare bits.

I'm glad to see that even with the new keyboard, osso, you've decided to remain poetic in your postings.

Oh, oh. Strong photos via dadpad/wild horses.

Near primeval.

(maybe not too near, but that's another story) I speak emotionally, don't know horse history, or not so much, as in, all graphed out.
That last photo via dadpad was a keeper, the one before it was good on its own.

My cousin's son works for the dreaded BLM, has been involved in wild horse care, at least early in his time there. (She and I both read the Black Stallion series, decades ago).

I haven't followed the latest on how benighted the blm is, or is not. I do know him, and he cares a great deal about animals. If we ever meet again, I'm sure we'd be able to have an interesting conversation about wild horses. (I might read up first.)

german fable of the "hare and the hedgehog" . they competed in a race along a freshly made furrow . the haughty hare lost to the smart hedgehog who stationed his wife at the end of the furrow . when the hare arrived , mrs hedgehog shouted : "i'm already here ! " , and back the hare raced only to be greeted by mr hegehog shouting : " i'm already here ! .
the poor hare eventually collapsed exhausted !
the lesson to be learned : speed alone won't do it !

Tai, Spectacular photos on Malek's thread. I know that Bengal tigers love water. I never saw one in a swimming pool. And I had no idea they make faces when they swim. Glad you wanderings brought you to the little hedgehogs.

Hamburger, Thanks for the charming rabbit photo. Right in your own back yard. And fussy eaters, too. Also thanks for the hedgehog/hare story. There's a story in English about a hare and a tortoise. There's a race. The tortoise wins; hence the saying, "Slow and steady wins the race."

Osso, Waxing poetic. <Smiling.> Don't know much about wild horses except that there are precious few left in the US.

Roberta the Giant pandas look like little stuffed animals in that picture.
They are still cute and that baby bear is adorable.

I already posted this racoon but that picture was at night. This one was during the day.
I hope you don't mind. I also just realized I should have made my prior post part of this one.

It was almost impossible, TTH, to find a baby panda picture where they did look real. They are adorable babies. Why would I mind if you make two posts instead of one? Don't mind at all.

Tai, Awwwwww. Too cute.

I wasn't quite sure how you felt about posting a picture of the same animal twice. I felt two of the same animal would be okay since they are different pictures taken at different times. I feel that is a reasonable limit. Unless that racoon does something really abnormal and hardly seen then I won't post another picture of he/she.

Love the owl picture. Now that is a great shot of it looking right at you.

Osso, I'm a sea otter softie too.

TTH, There are no limitations or restrictions here. You like a picture or have more than one of the same animal? Fine with me.

Glad you like the picture of the owl. I've been strolling around some of the photography sites. Finding some amazing shots.

Hammerhead shark (where was the photographer when this picture was taken? Far back using a telephoto lens?):
