Mr. Philbis, Thanks for the wonderful birds. The first is a pelican. The third, I believe, is a heron (not 100 percent sure). The middle one with the red wattle has be baffled.
Insect (don't know what it is):

I just know everybody would love--or hate--this eastern diamondback. It's impressive at any rate.

Thanks, Coluber. I knew that the eastern diamondbacks are the largest rattlesnakes. But that is one hell of a specimen.

This is a wild (not trained or tame) black bear in WA state. I am giving him/her some cheese to eat so he/she wouldn't eat me while I petted him/her. This picture was taken in 1992. People said I was crazy to do this but hey, I got to pet a real live bear.

Like the pine marten..
but back on the last page, those first bird photos, posted by Region, I think, are really really good. Sort of remind me of some Maplethorpe photos. I'm going to have to check out that site.
The Harpy Eagle, dang, a cute eagle. Not to be all cutesy.

Not that I don't like, even prefer, messier, more naturalistic photos. But, still, gorgeous photos.
Rosborne, Great face on the stone marten. That guy was sticking his nose somewhere messy.
Osso, Thanks for the link to the photos that Region posted. I did a bit of looking around. Don't be surprised if you see some of the shots here. I'm always thrilled to find a new source.
There are well over a thousand photos on this thread. I'm running out of places to look. Well, there are probably plenty more places for me to look. I just don't know where they are. Same difference, kinda. Anyway, thanks.

Gee, each lil'hair on that steenbok...
well, bill lockhart's photos have clarity, a kind of luminosity, drama in many cases, clean composition....

I just happened to be in the right/wrong place at the wrong/right time.
Also, I should state that no one should ever attempt to pet a bear that you
come across in the wild.
I will try to add more pictures when I get some good ones of the animals around here where I live. I recently just got a new camera so I am still practicing with it.
