This cat was left clinging on to a television aerial 20ft in the air for three hours after falling off a roof. Peter Smith, 67, from Long Stratton, Norfolk, was woken by the sound of loud meowing and saw the cat when he opened his curtains. "My wife and I could hear this meowing that went on and on, so I looked out the window and was shocked to see a cat stuck on the aerial," he said. "It was next-door's cat and I think it must have been chasing a bird across the roof and fallen off. It was very scared and clinging on for dear life as the aerial is quite flimsy." Mr Smith's neighbour used a large ladder to reach his cat and the poor pet was brought down. "It was very shaken after the ordeal," added Mr Smith.

I don't know how true it is but I've heard and well, seen it once or twice, that if a cat can climb up it, it can climb down it. That cat doesn't look scared to me. He looks comfy and a bit miffed he's being bothered. He is a beauty that's for sure!

@Arella Mae,
Arella Mae, The cat fell off the roof onto the aerial. Cats can look cool under amazing circumstances. Definitely a gawgeous feline. Wonder if he affected TV reception.

@ossobuco,
tai chi had a cat who used to roll around on the balcony looking for cool spots on the cement, one day she hears this faint mewing, goes out on the balcony to look for the cat, nowhere to be seen, looks over the railing, and theres the cat, 3 floors below on the ground, with a look like, "hey, come and get me, i fell", no damage but she (the cat), was more cautious after that

thinking back to a pic from a pages back of a cat on a balcony railing, i'm reminded of a friend who had a kitten that liked to walk around the railing on their balcony (21 floors up), his girlfriend hated it, but the kitten seemed to like it, and never fell

@djjd62,
That photo made me nervous.. but the only years I had cats were when we had a one story house, and I don't remember them ever up on the roof or in the trees. Yes, up on fences.

@ossobuco,
this kitten was absolutely fearless, it was frightening, the first time he did it the girlfriend was home alone, and she didn't know what to do, she didn't want to scare the cat

i saw it do it a few times, and it was a nerve wracking sight

@hingehead,
What an adorable little guy.

The link you provided on zebroids has a picture of a zebroid named Eclyse--an extraordinary looking combination with a striped head and a pure white body.

The road runner is the state bird of New Mexico.

The odd little fellow below the road runner is a cousin14 times removed.

To my surprise, I'm having very mixed feelings about all the cross-breeding. On the one hand the results are beautiful. fascinating, and/or adorable. On the other hand, we humans do way too much playing and messing with nature. A zebra crossed with another zebra looks spectacular to me. Yes, I'm being a pain in the patoot. So what else is new?
